Within Milano Arch Week, the week-long event devoted to architecture and the future of cities directed by Stefano Boeri with Politecnico, Triennale and Comune di Milano, Alberto Campo Baeza will present a lecture in Politecnico di Milano, on May 23rd, h 19.30. The lecture will be introduced by Maria Pilar Vettori.
Alberto Campo Baeza (born in 1946) is a Spanish architect and tenured professor at the Madrid School of Architecture, ETSAM, where he has taught for more than forty years. He has also taught at the ETH in Zurich, the EPFL in Lausanne, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Kansas State University, the CUA University in ...Washington, and most recently, at the L’Ecole d’Architecture in Tournai, Belgique.
Baeza’s widely-recognized works include Houses Turégano and de Blas, both in Madrid; the Gaspar House in Cádiz; the Rufo House in Toledo; the Moliner House in Zaragoza; and the Caja de Granada Savings Bank and the Museum of Memory of Andalucía, both in Granada. He also designed a nursery for Benetton in Venice, offices for the Regional Government of Castillay León in Zamora; and is currently working on the Sports Pavilion for the University Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid.
In 2014, he was elected Full Member to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando of Spain, and in 2015, was awarded the International Prize of Spanish Architecture (PAEI 2015).
